What is Pitch Definition types and examples

Post by ashraf3545 »

The pitch presentation or simply pitch presentations , is a concept that appeared on the market in the late 1990s, during the dot-com bubble. This is a moment of pre-internet fervor on a large scale, in which investors began to buy companies with digital traffic, but in a market context in which they still lacked the maturity to monetize their business models. Pitch is essentially a live, slide-assisted presentation that introduces potential investors to new business ideas. Among these assumptions, the concept unfolds between some strategic fronts, such as sales pitch, tweet pitch , elevator pitch , competition pitch or deck pitch.

Who best defines the idea is Guy Kawasaki in the chapter “ Art of the Pitch ”, in his book The Art of the Start . “Ten is the ideal number of slides in a PowerPoint presentation because a normal human being cannot understand more than ten concepts in a Email Data meeting – and venture capitalists are normal people. If you need to use more than ten slides to explain your business, you probably don't have a business.” Guy Kawasaki, author of The Art of the Start Pitch , in English, is a term also used for the verb to pitch.

Perhaps this is one of the essences of the etymology of the word: launch a business, present it to the world and determine what its tone will be. The ways in which you do this will depend on the context, but essentially, the pitch is your sales letter and first impression. It emerged from a transactional to digital context and helped many companies to modulate their business ideas in a more concise, assertive and effective way. After all, what separates a mere idea from an excellent idea is how much you know how to sell it.
